Responsibilities and tasks:
Install, assemble, and connect electrical components and systems for photovoltaic (PV) installations, including solar panels, inverters, wiring, and electrical enclosures, in accordance with industry standards and safety guidelines.
Perform electrical wiring, conduit installation, and connection of PV system components, ensuring proper routing, sizing, and protection of electrical conductors. Follow electrical codes and regulations to maintain compliance and safety.
Conduct testing and commissioning procedures to verify the functionality and performance of PV systems. Use electrical testing equipment to measure voltage, current, and system efficiency, troubleshoot issues, and ensure proper operation. Ensure that all electrical work is performed to high quality standards and in accordance with applicable codes and guidelines.
Diagnose and resolve electrical faults, malfunctions, or system failures in PV installations. Perform inspections to ensure optimal system performance, including cleaning of panels, checking connections, and monitoring system outputs.
Adhere to safety protocols and regulations throughout the installation process to minimize risks and ensure the safety of the installation team, customers, and the general public.
Complete required documentation, such as installation reports, permits, and inspection records, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and facilitate project documentation. Maintain accurate records of installed components, wiring diagrams, and system configurations.
Conditions:
Education and Experience:
Having completed an education as an Electrician (Elektroniker), Experience specifically in PV system installations, including knowledge of solar panel wiring, inverters, and related electrical components, is advantageous.
Licensing and Certifications:
Possession of a valid electrician's license, obtained through successful completion of the necessary exams and requirements mandated by the respective regulatory bodies, is required. Having successfully passed the "meisterprüfung" (master craftsman exam) in electrical engineering or a relevant specialization.
Technical Skills:
Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and installations is essential. Competence in reading electrical schematics and blueprints, as well as troubleshooting electrical faults, is highly desirable.
Legal and Safety Compliance:
Comprehensive understanding of relevant electrical codes, regulations, and safety guidelines is crucial. Knowledge of national and local regulations governing PV system installations, electrical connections, and safety measures is required.
Communication Skills:
The ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, is important. A minimum language proficiency level of B2 according to the CEFR is required.
Physical Fitness:
The role of an Electrician in a PV installation team often involves physical work, including lifting heavy equipment, climbing ladders, and working in outdoor environments. Good physical fitness and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks are required.
